About Narekavank Tour and our most accomplished and highly educated Guides Team
We specialize in History and Culture Travels in Historical Western Armenia and Cilicia since 2008. Over the course of years we expanded our itineraries and enriched our programs to cover a broader geography. Our programs include several countries, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, Israel, lately we also added European destinations.
Our programs provide memorable experiences along with diverse and rewarding knowledge. We offer opportunity to learn about local people, towns and villages, monasteries and mosques, castles and palaces the beauty of which will make a lasting impression. Our staff are Middle Eastern, Turkish Studies, History and Literature professionals who come from academy and diplomacy fields having Master's and Doctoral degrees.

Andranik Ispiryan
Graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Yerevan State University (YSU) with a bachelor's and master's degree in Turkology. For over 10 years, he has authored numerous articles, participated in interviews and conferences on Turkology and regional politics, which are published in Armenian and foreign media. He worked as an Associate Professor in a number of educational institutions. He is the editor of Turkish section of leading Armenian media resources, participant and interpreter of a number of Armenian, Turkish and foreign films and books on Armenian-Turkish relations. He is in Narekavank Tour team since the foundation of the company in 2008.

Shushan Khachatryan
Graduated from YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies, bachelor's and master's program in Turkology, and is currently continuing her postgraduate studies. Her interests include Turkish history and Eastern literature. She is the author of dozens of scientific articles, and currently teaches at the Academy of Public Administration of Armenia. “For the first time I visited Western Armenia in 2009, and since then I have fallen in love with the infinity of the Mush valley, which is the birthplace of my ancestors. As a real "Mshetsi" (a girl from Mush), I am a big fan of "Kochari" traditional Armenian dance. ”

Vardan Khachatryan
Graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at YSU, Turkology program, undergraduate and graduate studies. He has been conducting tours for more than 10 years as a group leader and guide in Historical Western Armenia, Cilicia, Istanbul, Georgia, Artsakh and Iran.

Sergey Manvelyan
Studied at YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies, Turkology section in 2010-2016. In 2019 he completed postgraduate studies at Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts with a PhD in Historical Sciences. He is the author of a number of scientific articles and research projects, two of which are dedicated to the greatest representatives of Armenian classical music: Lusine Zakaryan and Medea Abrahamyan. For several years he traveled with Narekavank Tour to the historical homeland as a tourist and then became a member of the "Narekavank" team.
Studied at YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies, Turkology section in 2010-2016. Ani Khachatryan
Ani is a historian by profession, currently she is a postgraduate student of the Chair of Armenian History of the Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) after Abovyan. She is also a research fellow at the same university. Ani regularly takes part in international and national conferences, seminars and training programs. She has taught history in schools for about 3 years. Ani loves her profession, she is especially interested in the history of the Armenian Diaspora, archeology, ethnography, life and customs of the Armenian people. She is the author of a number of scientific articles. Her historical roots come from the towns of Western Armenia - Mush, Erzurum (Karin), Basen, there are roots from Artsakh as well. This fact strengthens the connection with her beloved profession. Ani speaks Russian and English, has some knowledge of Turkish. "I like to travel, I think traveling a lot allows me to make new discoveries, enrich my knowledge of history, culture and be a part of nature."

Nver Davtyan
Graduated from the Department of Iranian Studies of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies with a bachelor's and then master's degree. Since 2009 he has been teaching at the Chair of Iranian Studies of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies as a lecturer of Persian Language and History of Iran. History and culture of Iran and the Middle Eastern countries and peoples are of professional interest. Since 2007 he has been working in the field of tourism as a tour guide and coordinator of tourism programs. He believes that presenting Armenian other nations' cultural values in tourism is one of the most important means of dialogue in world society and of human cognitive philosophy.

Arman Martirosyan's research interests include issues in history of Europe and the Americas, history of world culture, history of the ethno-political conflicts of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century. He has participated in a number of international and national conferences, and is the author of thirty scientific and educational articles. He speaks Russian, Turkish and French. Arman Martirosyan's roots come from Sasun and Mush.

He is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History and Social Sciences of the ASPU, Associate Professor of the Department of World History. His research interests include History of Russia, History of Eastern Armenia during the reign of the Russian Empire. He teaches in ASPU, and in high school. He is the author of scientific articles, regular participant in national and international conferences. Working with the young generation, in addition to providing knowledge, he also inculcates love for homeland. In addition to scientific and pedagogical activities, he is interested in tourism and likes to share his rich knowledge with tourists. He likes to tell tourists about most vivid episodes of Armenian history, making excursions more exciting.
